Returns, Exchanges & Refunds
Due to our product being a food item, all sales are strictly final and non refundable.
We encourage customers to taste and work with KAKAO intimately before ordering a bulk bag.
Please note that we source our cacao from wild, regeneratively organic farms and the taste may change from time to time. Please allow for a small adjustment period, especially if you’ve been working with other types of cacao recently. The taste and aroma of cacao changes drastically across the board depending on the type of bean, the season and what other trees/plants/fruits were growing around the cacao.
KAKAO is committed to sourcing directly from small wild farms and honoring the origins of this sacred gift from Mother Earth. Thank you for your support of KAKAO and the joint mission of restoring heart-openness in the world.
Please remember we are not a big corporation i.e. Amazon Prime, but instead we are a registered non profit solely focused on the mission at hand. All customer service is still handled by me (the Founder, Luana/Makenzie).

Shipping & Lost Packages
KAKAO is not liable for lost or stolen packages. The risk of loss and ownership for such items pass to you upon our delivery to the carrier.
It is your responsibility as a customer to provide the correct, deliverable, physical address for delivery. For undeliverable shipments returned to us, we will refund you for the product when and if it arrives undamaged & unopened. Please place another order in the meantime to your correct address.
After placing your order, please keep an eye out for your package delivery. KAKAO left in a hot location will melt. If your KAKAO melts or you have other concerns, click here.
International Shipping & Customs
Please know that shipments may be subject to import charges, which are the responsibility of the purchaser. KAKAO does not collect the VAT, duties and/or taxes and cannot predict what your particular charges may be. If your order does require these additional charges, they must be paid in order for your package to clear customs.
